Andrew Wesley is a photographer and educator based in the Ottawa region. A former infantryman and imagery technician with the Canadian Armed Forces, and a professional wedding photographer for more than a decade, his practice has gradually shifted toward projects exploring place, memory, and the ecological landscapes that shape community life.

Alongside his work as a Section 23 teacher, Andrew now focuses on photography as a means of education and public engagement, using visual storytelling to encourage thoughtful conversations about environmental stewardship and shared spaces. His current work, including the ongoing project Fallen Leaves, examines the intersection of urban growth and the quiet disappearance of natural environments that have long informed local and national identity.

Andrew is currently completing an MA in Photography with Falmouth University, where his research continues to develop projects that connect personal experience, landscape, and ecological awareness. When he is not working on new photographic projects, he is most often found enjoying time with his wife, their four children, and a Yorkshire terrier named Ares, whose cooperation with family life varies from day to day.

In consideration of his role as an educator, direct contact information is not listed on this website.
